As a way to welcome the new batch of Computer Science students, the Xavier Computer Enthusiasts' League held the CS Freshmen Assembly on the 1st of July 2015 at the Nursing Ampitheater of the Faber Hall.

The event was organized by the XCEL Formations Team to help guide the first year CS students through their first steps of their college journey, as well as to give them the opportunity to know everything about their chosen program.

The key happening of the Freshmen Assembly was a presentation by keynote speaker Dan Pacquiao, a CS alumnus and vice-president of Cleversoft. Other parts of the event included fun games, introduction of XCEL's officers for this year, messages from select CS faculty, a beatboxing exhibition by senior CS student and beatboxing champion Christian John Tato, and a demonstration of the Library Augmented Reality Assistant (LARA), a CS project by Limart Neri and Jonacius Villamor.
