The awarding ceremonies will be held on January 25 at Centrio Mall after the High School and College Quiz Show competitions. Certificates, medals and cash prizes will be given to the winners. The Certificate of Participation will also be given to the other participants.

Xavier Computer Enthusiasts' League's (XCEL) Developers Team has given another seminar to the Computer Science students of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan. This time, the seminar is about Game Development with speakers from Developer's Team Jovan Jiv Cahiles and another senior, Computer Science student Jan Derrick Buragay.

July 18, 2015 at STC 101 Net Lab, XCEL Developers Team led a seminar for the benefit of Computer Science students of Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan. The seminar was about the Git Software, a version control system that will be useful in collaborative programming for Computer Science students.

XCEL-KFC Computer Tutorial

In line with XCEL's vision of being an active and well-established organization that is recognized by  the community, XCEL conducted its first Community Involvement of the year last July 11, 2015 at Stc Net Lab, Xavier University.

In partnership with Kuya Fish Campaign (KFC), the External Affairs Team of XCEL conducted its 1st session of the Computer Tutorials, to serve as an avenue for marginalized kids to learn the fundamentals and basics of computer.

Around 45 students from St. John, ranging from 9-12 years old, attended the session which covered topics such as the History of Computer, Basic Parts of a Computer, and General Etiquette when using the Computer.

The tutorial also consisted of fun and interactive activities that gave the kids a glimpse of some programming essentials which involves problem solving of the puzzles and mazes they have to tackle.

To further enrich knowledge to the kids, a second session will commence this July 18, 2015, which will cover topics such as the usage of MS Office Applications and some Basics of Programming.

XCEL welcomes the first year CS students

As a way to welcome the new batch of Computer Science students, the Xavier Computer Enthusiasts' League held the CS Freshmen Assembly on the 1st of July 2015 at the Nursing Ampitheater of the Faber Hall.

The event was organized by the XCEL Formations Team to help guide the first year CS students through their first steps of their college journey, as well as to give them the opportunity to know everything about their chosen program.

The key happening of the Freshmen Assembly was a presentation by keynote speaker Dan Pacquiao, a CS alumnus and vice-president of Cleversoft. Other parts of the event included fun games, introduction of XCEL's officers for this year, messages from select CS faculty, a beatboxing exhibition by senior CS student and beatboxing champion Christian John Tato, and a demonstration of the Library Augmented Reality Assistant (LARA), a CS project by Limart Neri and Jonacius Villamor.

XCEL holds annual BOLTS event

The Xavier Computer Enthusiasts' League held its annual Basic Orientation Leadership Training Seminar (BOLTS) on the 6th and 7th of June 2015, at the Mapawa Nature Park Ranch House, Malasag, Cugman, Cagayan de Oro City.

The event aimed to gather the XCEL officers together and prepare them for the upcoming school year, equipping them with skills that they can use to be able to lead their respective teams.

Lectures on leadership were given by Mr. Paul Dalagan from the Ateneo School for Upcoming Leaders (ASUL), Ms. Maria Lovella Naces, a former philosophy instructor in Xavier University, and Ms. Herabelle Villanueva, the moderator of XCEL. Other notable parts of the event included the Pledging of the Officers, the Palanca Letter Writing, and fun team building activities such as The Important Thing, The Maze, and The Amazing Race.
