The Baccalaureate Ceremonies were very memorable and significant for the CCS graduates. The convocation program which followed the mass was very poignant in that the speakers really touched the hearts of those who listened. The Fr. Hayes awardee was Hon. Romy Tiongco, the mayor of Damulog Bukidnon. I myself was inspired by his words. He spoke with such conviction about his faith in God that I was close to tears. He was once a Jesuit priest. He was so eloquent. The Fr. Demetrio awardee was an artist. He too spoke with conviction about the cultural integration of the asean graduate. Overall, I was inspired by the speakers even though I was not graduating.

The Globe Game Changer Challenge is the premier digital innovation challenge that calls for the country’s top students to create game-changing ideas which will move the nation forward.

Target Audience

GGCC aims to attract final year university students who are leaders, are visionaries for change, and are passionate about technology.

The ideal participant should be an academic achiever (85% and above), a good role model (no major disciplinary cases), and should have some extracurricular involvement (in organizations, competitions, or volunteer activities) that also demonstrates their leadership capabilities.

The Competition

Applications are available on http://globe.com.ph/ggcc and are open until October 31, 2015. Students will be asked to send their application forms along with their resumes to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

All students who meet the qualifications are invited to apply.

Out of all the submissions, an initial paper screening will be conducted to select the top 100 applicants, who will then proceed to the one-on-one interview.

From the interviews, only 50 will proceed to the next round, a one-day workshop where their business and leadership skills will be put to the test. Participants will be evaluated individually.

Competition Proper

The top 30 will then be invited to the final round of the Globe Game Changer Challenge, a 3-day bootcamp at the Globe Tower, which will be filled with activities that will build up to their final innovation challenge, where they can fully unleash their imagination and come up with game-changing ideas.

Each team of five will be tasked to identify one or several of the Philippines’ pressing problems, and come up with a digital solution to resolve the problem/s. Then, they will pitch their ideas to Globe’s senior executives. The most game-changing ideas will get a chance to be implemented nationwide.

The winning team will receive gadgets, cash prizes, an all-expense paid trip to Singtel’s Innovation Centre.
