XU's KKP SIO in cooperation with RSO recently held the 5th Service Learning Summit last Feb. 10-12 at Faber Hall Nursing Amphitheater. Once again, the College of Computer Studies took the lion's share of CSLP awards. Most of the presentations were done by the CS students. This is a learning program unique to XU because the students have mentors from outside the school. We have partners from the government(EMD), Barangay Lumbia, CEED, private organizations like Big Hoop Charities Foundation and AJCU. The Collaborative Service Learning Program with this year's theme "The plight of Education for social justice through collaborative service learning" is based on the university's five thematic agenda: Food Security, Health, Environment, Governance and Peace. The CSLP projects of CS students were more on governance. There were also teachers from other colleges who participated. For a list of the CSLP projects of DCS please click Achievements.
